You will take charge of projects from A to Z, keeping a focus on quality, costs, and profitability, while coaching a team of project managers. The position combines fieldwork, office work, and remote work, with a stabilized workload throughout the year.
Responsibilities — deliver high-performing civil engineering projects
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise the execution of civil engineering projects, from start to finish.
- Ensure profitability and quality by monitoring progress, costs, schedules, and variances, then adjusting the game plan.
- Guide and coach project managers by balancing technical supervision and skill development.
- Collaborate closely with the general superintendent and site teams to secure execution and resolve field issues.
- Drive planning and tracking in MS Project and TPL to maintain clear, up-to-date, and useful information for decision-making.
- Enhance continuous improvement in processes to increase the efficiency and predictability of deliverables.
Profile sought — must-haves and expected management style
- Hold a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a DEC in civil engineering with equivalent experience.
- Have 5+ years of experience in managing civil engineering projects.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the technical and financial aspects of a project.
- Master MS Project and TPL.
- Work as a civil engineer or experienced technician.
- Communicate clearly and support team management on a daily basis.
- Adopt a human and collaborative management style, based on trust and professional development.
